Lancashire Facts

Lancaster Castle has been a prison since at least 1196 and is now partly open to the public. The notorious Pendle Witches trial took place here and the castle survived an attack by Robert Bruce and more than one royalist attack during the English civil war. Lancaster Castle is currently owned by Queen Elizabeth II.

Directions:

Leave the M6 at Junction 32 onto M55 and follow signs for Blackpool. When you arrive at the roundabout go straight onto Yeadon Way . Continue past blackpool football club on your right hand side until you reach Central Car Park. Leave the car parkand turn left onto Central Drive the road bears to thr right. At the traffic lights go straight ahead to the top of the road and we ar on the left hand side just after South King Street.
