The Forest of Bowland, also known as the Bowland Fells, is an area of barren gritstone fells, deep valleys and peat moorland in north-east Lancashire. The Forest of Bowland has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) since 1964., The Forest of Bowland is used for grouse shooting, walking and cycling, though it is relatively unfrequented by tourists.

Directions:

From the M6 take the M55 to the very end follow signs for Blackpool Airport. Go passed the Airport onto the Sea Front turning right towards Blackpool Pleasure Beach and Tower. After approximately half a mile you will see the worlds largest disco glitter ball on the promenade left hand side imediately on the right is the enterance to Bourne Crescent turn into the crescent the Hotel is situated at the centre of the crescent overlooking the sea.
