The Forest of Bowland, also known as the Bowland Fells, is an area of barren gritstone fells, deep valleys and peat moorland in north-east Lancashire. The Forest of Bowland has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) since 1964., The Forest of Bowland is used for grouse shooting, walking and cycling, though it is relatively unfrequented by tourists.

Directions:

At the end of the M55 you will come to a roundabout with statues of boys on slides in the middle. Go straight over onto Yeadon way. Go straight over the first mini roundabout turn right at the next. DO NOT GO UNDER THE BRIDGE OR YOU WILL END UP AT THE TOWER At the next mini roundabout go left left at the junction trafficlights Aldi will be on your left . At the next junction traffic lights take a left onto the Lytham Road. Take the second right into Dean Street. The Wescoe is near the Promenade on the right.
